Way Back Whensday #13

Abby is 18 months old in this video. In honor of Valentine's Day, I wanted to share the first time Abby said "I love you."

Well, if you want to get technical, she really only says "love you." We were still working on the "I" part. Still, it's pretty adorable...

Way Back Whensday #11

We are getting very excited about the National Championship Game tomorrow night! It's bringing back memories of two years ago when the Gators brought home the title in 2006.

There was a big pep rally at Florida Field that January to celebrate our National Champions. Matt and Jamie took the boys to Gainesville for their first visit to University of Florida.

So, to recap, Drew was three years old. He really wanted to hear the bells ring at Century Tower. And, Matt ran into his cousin right at the end of the video.

Nevertheless, it still documents my sweet boy's first introduction to the greatness of UF. Almost brings a tear to my eye...

This is one of my all-time favorite pictures of my boys.

And, here are Drew and James as they explore the campus. We like to think that they are envisioning their futures as Florida Gators.

Go Gators!

Way Back Whensday #7

Christmas 2005.

The year that my best friend, Danielle, saved me from a Christmas card nightmare.

I had two cute kids. Two cute outfits. No cooperation.

So, I took this picture -

And this picture -

And then my sweet, wonderfully talented, generous, and non judgemental friend of over 25 years did this -

There is a special place in heaven for anyone who helps me with my OCD need to have everything perfect and then decides to keep loving me anyway.

Lucky for me, that's a pretty long list.

Anyway, as a side note, the rolls on Abby's thigh in this picture just make me swoon. Is there anything yummier than chubby, baby thighs?

I dare say not.

The Very Hungry Catepillar was Drew's favorite bedtime book for a very long time.

He is just over 3 years old in this video.

Oh, how I love that little guy!

Way Back Whensday #5

These pictures are from our family's first visit to Magic Kingdom. This was March 2007, so Drew was 3 1/2 and Abby was almost 2.

Look closely at Drew's hand and you'll see he's holding something. It's a little Mickey Mouse and he carried it around ALL day! He was so excited to be there and to know he was going to meet Mickey.

Here he is - finally showing Mickey his own little Mickey Mouse! Drew was not scared of the big Mickey at all.

Abby, on the other hand, had a healthy fear of all the characters until we had been to the park several times. Look at the way she's hanging onto Matt! My poor little girl...

But, she'll never turn down ice cream...

Even if it is in the shape of the super scary Mickey Mouse!

Way Back Whensday #1

Last week, I spent several hours copying all of my picture and video files to DVDs. There are thousands of pictures on my computer and I am a happy girl to know that they are all now safely backed up - twice (one set to keep here and one to keep at my mom's house).

In the process, I took the time to look through old pictures and watch videos from when the kids were younger. It was amazing - I loved the walk down memory lane and I thought it would be fun to share it with you!

I've seen this Way Back Whensday idea on other blogs and loved the concept. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so I'm going to copy this great idea!

Check back each Wednesday for old pictures or video of the kids - I promise it won't disappoint!

This video is from April of 2006. Drew was 2 1/2 years old and Abby was 1.

The next video is much shorter, but I had to share it because I just love his sweet voice as he says "uh-oh."
